Litigation Privilege Can't Kill Debt Collection Suit: Calif. Court

Law360, New York (August 15, 2013, 7:28 PM EDT) -- A California appeals court overturned a trial court’s ruling that a complaint brought against Persolve LLC and its attorneys alleging violations of state and federal debt collection laws was barred by litigation privilege, saying the privilege does not preclude claims that are specifically prohibited under those laws.
