Luminant Hit With EPA Clean Air Suit Over Coal Plants

Law360, New York (August 16, 2013, 6:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S.on Friday hit Energy Future Holdings Corp. subsidiary Luminant Generation Co. with a federal Clean Air Act lawsuit arising from the operation of two coal-fired power plants in Texas.

The U.S. government, on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, filed an enforcement action under seal alleging violations of the so-called Prevention of Significant Deterioration provisions of the CAA, according to a memorandum filed by the government on Friday.
