Whirlpool Says GE Price-Fixing Claims Must Be Arbitrated

Law360, New York (August 19, 2013, 3:29 PM EDT) -- Whirlpool Corp. and Embraco North America Inc. on Friday told a Michigan federal judge that refrigerant compressor price-fixing claims brought against them by General Electric Co. in ongoing multidistrict litigation need to be settled through arbitration, calling for the court to issue a stay on GE's claims.
