Gay Conversion Therapy For Minors Banned In NJ

Law360, New York (August 19, 2013, 6:05 PM EDT) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Monday signed legislation that prohibits treating minors with “conversion therapy” intended to change their sexual orientation, saying there’s evidence of its risks but little evidence of its benefits.

Christie signed S-2278, which prohibits the use of conversion therapy by professional counselors, psychologists, therapists or social workers to change the sexual orientation of anyone below the age of 18.
