2nd Complaint Filed Over Philly Building Collapse

Law360, Philadelphia (August 20, 2013, 4:22 PM EDT) -- A woman who lost her legs as a result of the catastrophic collapse of a Philadelphia building in June filed the second complaint in growing litigation over the tragedy on Monday, this shortly after a Philadelphia judge stayed 11 earlier lawsuits.

Mariya Plekan sued the owners of the building that collapsed, the general contractor overseeing the demolition, an architect overseeing the demolition, the operator of an aerial lift, and the Salvation Army. She says that she was shopping at the Salvation Army when the adjacent building...
