Retrans Reform Again Dominates House Hearing On TV Regs

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Members of Congress met in committee Wednesday for the second time in as many days to discuss the regulatory structure of the television industry, once again veering into a discussion of possible reform to retransmission consent rules.

One day after a House Judiciary subcommittee debated similar issues, the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on communications and technology convened as part of a long-running review leading up to the expiration of Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act of 2010 at the end of 2014.
