NLRB Acting GC's Appointment Ruled Invalid

Law360, New York (August 20, 2013, 9:21 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has ruled that National Labor Relations Board acting general counsel Lafe Solomon's appointment was invalid, throwing out an NLRB suit seeking an injunction against a residential support services provider accused of firing people for engaging in protected activity.

U.S. District Judge Benjamin H. Settle on Aug. 13 granted Kitsap Tenant Support Services Inc.'s motion to dismiss, ruling Solomon's appointment under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act wasn't valid and that NLRB regional director Ronald Hooks didn't have the power to file complaints against Kitsap....
