DOI Tells Fed. Circ. New Drilling Regs Didn’t Breach Lease

Law360, New York (August 20, 2013, 7:57 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior on Monday urged the Federal Circuit to uphold a ruling that its enactment of new offshore drilling environmental and safety requirements didn’t breach its lease with two oil and gas exploration companies, saying the agreement allowed for such revisions.
