Dewey Trust Targets Ex-Clients Over $6M In Unpaid Fees

Law360, New York (August 22, 2013, 8:26 PM EDT) -- The secured lender trustee for bankrupt global law firm Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP launched a slew of complaints Thursday in New York bankruptcy court against more than a dozen of the firm's former clients, seeking to recover more than $6 million in allegedly unpaid fees for legal services. 

FTI Consulting filed 14 near-identical complaints against individuals and companies who purportedly received legal services from Dewey between November 2002 and May 2012 and failed to pay fees and expenses.
