Attorneys, Politicians Weigh In On FMLA Changes

Law360, New York (February 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As hundreds of pages of proposed changes to the Family and Medical Leave Act were made public on Monday, attorneys and activist groups began the work of sorting through the minutiae of the proposals from the Department of Labor.

While many attorneys said that the proposals do not make any sweeping changes to the 1993 law, they have the potential to clarify what has been a complex and difficult law for employers and employees to make sense of.
