IBM, Compuware Extend $400M settlement

Law360, New York (December 5, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- The terms of one of the biggest settlements of 2005 have been extended, with tech giant IBM and software company Compuware agreeing to a payment schedule that gives IBM until 2010 to pay the totality of the $400 million settlement reached in March.

IBM has already paid Compuware $20 million, and under the new agreement will pay annual installments of $30 million until 2010, giving IBM an extra year to pay the total sum. The original agreement stipulated a four-year payment plan.
