ABC Affiliate Rips Aereo's Attempt To Avoid Injunction

Law360, New York (August 26, 2013, 4:18 PM EDT) -- Boston's local ABC affiliate on Friday pressed ahead with a copyright infringement suit in Massachusetts federal court against online streaming service provider Aereo Inc., blasting the company's effort to avoid a preliminary injunction as a “technological shell game.”

Hearst Corp.-owned WCVB TV sharply criticized Aereo's arguments that its streaming service does not violate the Copyright Act, saying the company has applied faulty and inconsistent legal reasoning while relying on defective case law.
