Texas Fights $5.8M Attys' Fees In Redistricting Suit

Law360, Houston (August 26, 2013, 9:57 PM EDT) -- The State of Texas has asked a federal judge to reject requests for millions of dollars in attorneys’ fees from groups challenging the state’s election maps as discriminatory, saying they did not prevail in the suit since the U.S. Supreme Court rendered the case moot in a recent ruling.
