Vinmar VP Fired For Challenging False EPA Report, Suit Says

Law360, Houston (August 26, 2013, 7:46 PM EDT) -- A former vice president of global petrochemical marketing company Vinmar International Ltd. launched a suit in Texas court Friday alleging he was fired after he refused to approve a bogus document submission to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Douglas S. Friedman says Vinmar’s CEO Hemant Goradia and general counsel Mark Antonvich had pressured him to sign off on “factually incorrect” information the company intended to send to the EPA, and that when he declined, he was fired.
