Ex-Goldman Trader Tourre To Seek Reversal Or New Trial

Law360, Los Angeles (August 26, 2013, 8:08 PM EDT) -- Former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. trader Fabrice Tourre will ask a court in September to either overturn his securities fraud conviction or grant a new jury trial, according to an order filed in New York federal court on Monday.

U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest approved a schedule submitted by Tourre’s attorneys that shows an opening brief seeking relief under Rules 50 and 59 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to be filed on Sept. 30, followed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s opposition...
