Inside The State Dept.'s Long-Awaited Rule On Brokering

Law360, New York (August 28, 2013, 2:15 PM EDT) -- As part of the ongoing U.S. export control reform effort, the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls published its long-awaited interim final rule on brokering under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations in the Federal Register on Aug. 26, 2013. This comes nearly two years after the DDTC published its most recent proposed brokering rule in December 2011.
