Key Energy Challenges UMMA's Bankruptcy Stay

Law360, New York (February 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Having filed for bankruptcy on the eve of a $3.5 million breach-of-contract trial, gas producer UMMA Resources LLC now faces demands by the contractor to lift the automatic stay shielding it from a jury.

The contractor, Key Energy Services Inc., will make its argument at an oral hearing before Judge Richard Schmidt next month in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
