Luxury Mag Takes Aim At Celebrity Cruises Over Trademark

Law360, New York (August 30, 2013, 2:14 PM EDT) -- Celebrity Cruises Inc. was blasted in Illinois federal court Thursday for allegedly using lifestyle magazine publisher DM Luxury LLC's "Modern Luxury" trademark without permission in advertisements for its cruise services.

Chicago-based DM Luxury filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois alleging that Celebrity launched an advertising campaign using the Modern Luxury mark as the brand and tagline for its travel services, despite knowing that DM had the trademark for the brand.
