Jury To Decide Age Bias Suit V. N.Y. Town

Law360 (February 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A court has ruled that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission provided sufficient evidence to send to trial an age discrimination suit filed on behalf of a youth counselor against the town of Huntington, N.Y.

U.S. District Judge Denis R. Hurley of the District of New York on Friday denied a summary judgment motion filed by the Long Island town and its nonprofit youth center, the Youth Bureau Youth Development Research Institute Inc. A conference has been scheduled in April to determine a possible trial date....
