Physical Therapy Cos. Can't Duck FCA Kickback Suit

Law360, New York (August 30, 2013, 7:06 PM EDT) -- A Missouri federal judge on Friday rejected competing motions for summary judgment in a whistleblower's False Claims Act suit accusing physical therapy providers of exchanging kickbacks for Medicare referrals, concluding that while the federal government’s case is “thin,” a jury might find sufficient evidence of wrongdoing.
