9th Circ. Says EPA Letters Trigger Pollution Coverage

Law360, New York (August 30, 2013, 6:45 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Friday found that a Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. affiliate must defend an auto parts company accused of polluting a Superfund site, ruling that letters from federal environmental regulators providing notice of potential liability qualify as suits under Oregon law.
