Toshiba, Fresh From Win In Lexar Case, Will Still Appeal

Law360, New York (December 6, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Although it may have seemed like a huge victory, Toshiba Corp. said it will appeal a California judge’s ruling that vacated the $465 million settlement originally awarded to Lexar in the trade secrets litigation between the two companies.

The ruling, handed down by the Superior Court for the State of California, granted Toshiba’s motion for a new trial on the damages awarded in a trade secrets misappropriation suit brought by rival company Lexar.
