DOJ Can't Delay Airline Merger Trial Despite Shutdown

Law360, Washington (October 1, 2013, 2:49 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge moved ahead full force on Tuesday with trial preparations for the U.S. Department of Justice's challenge to the $14 billion merger of US Airways Group Inc. and American Airlines Inc., despite the DOJ's request to postpone it in the wake of the federal government shutdown.
