Bias Suit To Go Forward Against Chicago Law Firm

Law360, New York (February 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former office administrator at Bellows & Bellows PC has received a mixed bag on appeal in two discrimination disputes against the Chicago-based boutique firm that specializes in employment and corporate law.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit overturned a lower court’s dismissal of Evelyn Benders’ 2004 retaliation suit on Tuesday. But the court agreed that her 2006 sex discrimination suit was properly tossed because she failed to state a claim.
