Judge Lifts Injunction In RI Home Foreclosure Case

Law360, Los Angeles (September 3, 2013, 8:09 PM EDT) -- A Rhode Island federal judge dissolved a blanket injunction preventing the foreclosures of homes in 825 cases Tuesday after the First Circuit said he lacked the authority to do so in a consolidated case accusing lenders and loan servicers of questionable practices including robosigning.

U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell Jr. said he had to end the injunction because he couldn't find an across-the-board likelihood of success in challenging foreclosures in the cases.
