Weil Steers Bard In $262M Rochester Medical Buy

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 12:06 PM EDT) -- New Jersey-based C.R. Bard Inc. has inked a deal to acquire catheter maker Rochester Medical Inc. for $262 million, boosting the medical device company's stake in the $930 million global urology home-care market, the companies said on Wednesday.

Bard will pay $20 per Rochester share, a nearly 45 percent premium on Tuesday's closing price. The all-cash deal has the blessing of both companies' board of directors and would make Rochester a wholly owned subsidiary of Bard, according to the companies.
