Commerce Trade Official To Resign, Head To Private Sector

Law360, New York (September 4, 2013, 2:54 PM EDT) -- A top U.S. trade official said Wednesday he plans to step down this fall from his post at the U.S. Department of Commerce to re-enter the private sector.

Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco Sanchez, who heads Commerce's International Trade Administration, posted on Twitter Wednesday morning that he has decided to leave his current position.

"After 4 years at ITA, I have decided it's time to move on. I will return to the private sector later this fall," Sanchez said in the tweet.
