Uncertainty Over Calif. Patent Office Threatens Innovation

Law360, San Diego (September 4, 2013, 11:04 PM EDT) -- With plans for a permanent Silicon Valley federal patent office in limbo since sequestration halted the search for office space, attorneys told Law360 on Wednesday that the absence of a permanent office in the nation’s technology hub leaves inventors and startups at a disadvantage in navigating the patent system and could slow the pace of innovation.
