Coalition Argues For New Plant At N.Y. Waterfall

Law360 (February 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A coalition of environmental groups and towns has urged an appellate court to overturn a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission decision to license an energy-production plan involving an existing hydro plant at New York's Cohoes Falls.

The coalition, led by Scenic Hudson Inc., filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which is set to hear arguments over the plan FERC adopted for the Hudson River waterfall.
