Fla. Judge Won't Toss Condo Investment Scheme Suits

Law360, Miami (September 5, 2013, 7:49 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge on Thursday denied Pulte Home Corp.'s bid to dismiss 22 suits accusing the builder of luring condominium buyers into a fraudulent investment contract.

U.S. District Judge Anne C. Conway said that on the third try, the 35 plaintiffs — who initially had joined forces before splitting off into individual suits — had sufficiently alleged enough facts to plead violations of federal securities laws against Pulte, which had also roped in a broker and a real estate manager.
