Monsanto Aims To Quash Farmer's GMO Wheat Suit

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 4:41 PM EDT) -- Monsanto Co. asked a Kansas federal court Thursday to dismiss a proposed class action over its genetically modified wheat, arguing that the plaintiff had failed to show how he was specifically harmed by the spread of the controversial crop.

Dan Brown alleges in his June complaint that the presence of GMO strains in America's wheat supply as a result of Monsanto's actions has hurt farmers financially. GMO wheat is not approved for consumption anywhere in the world and can't be sold.
