NJ Bill Would Free Remote Texters From Auto Crash Liability

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 8:14 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey lawmaker on Wednesday said she would introduce legislation to shield senders of text messages from civil liability in auto accidents involving the recipients, a response to an appeals court's ruling that senders of text messages can be held liable if they knew the recipient was driving.
