Polycom Nets $14M From Videoconferencing Patents

Law360, New York (February 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Videoconferencing technology company Tandberg ASA has agreed to pay $14 million as well as future royalties to settle patent infringement claims from rival Polycom Inc.

The companies also entered into cross-licensing agreements under a deal reached this month, according to a Polycom filing Thursday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The lump sum payment is due by Feb. 18.

Polycom will also receive future royalties on the Codian CU 4200 videoconferencing bridges shipped to the U.S.
