Bridgestone Sues TRW Over Tire Sensor Patents

Law360, New York (September 9, 2013, 4:18 PM EDT) -- A Bridgestone Americas Inc. unit sued rival company TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. in Delaware federal court Friday, accusing the auto parts maker of knowingly infringing patents for a federally mandated system that monitors the condition of tires.

TRW, along with subsidiaries TRW Automotive US LLC and TRW Automotive Inc., are allegedly selling tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) that infringe three Bridgestone patents.
