Chevron Drops Some Claims In $19B RICO Suit As Trial Looms

Law360, New York (September 9, 2013, 5:14 PM EDT) -- Chevron Corp. told a New York judge on Monday it would not pursue monetary damages against two Ecuadoreans named in its Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act suit over a $19 billion pollution judgment, and moved to split the litigation’s long-awaited trial into two phases.
