Uthe’s 20-Year Racketeering Fight With Aetrium Ends

Law360, Los Angeles (September 9, 2013, 7:15 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Monday ended Uthe Technology Corp.’s 20-year racketeering battle over the sale of a business unit by refusing to award the semiconductor manufacturer damages on top of the $9.2 million arbitration award it won in 2012.

U.S. District Judge William Alsup found that Uthe was, in effect, double-dipping on the award it already received in arbitration in its suit against Harry Allen and Aetrium Inc. on claims that company forced Uthe to sell a business unit at a depressed price.
