FTC Eyeing Facebook Privacy Policy Changes

Law360, New York (September 12, 2013, 12:20 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission said Wednesday that it is looking into whether Facebook Inc.'s recent privacy policy changes — which, among other things, clarify that the site can use members' pictures in ads — comply with the company's 2011 privacy settlement with the regulator.

The social networking site rolled out the controversial changes to its data use policy and statement of rights and responsibilities on Aug. 29, less than a week after a California federal judge granted final approval to a contested $20 million privacy settlement...
