Aereo Says FilmOn Ruling Misinterpreted Copyright Law

Law360, New York (September 12, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT) -- Internet television service Aereo Inc. weighed in Wednesday with respect to last week's D.C. federal court ruling banning technologically analogous FilmOn X throughout most of the country, blasting the decision as a misinterpretation of copyright law.

The Sept 5. ruling concerns Aereo because FilmOn X's service incorporates nearly identical technology, using tiny antennae to transmit unique broadcast signals to individual users over the Internet.
