DC Mayor Vetoes Wage Bill Aimed At Big-Box Stores

Law360, New York (September 12, 2013, 4:42 PM EDT) -- Washington Mayor Vincent Gray on Thursday vetoed the Large Retailer Accountability Act, which would require large retailers such as Wal-Mart to pay workers well over the city’s minimum wage, saying the flawed bill would deal a huge blow to economic development.
