Fla. Sen. Revives Bid For $230M Car Registration Rollback

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 7:37 PM EDT) -- Florida Senate Appropriations Chairman Joe Negron on Thursday reintroduced SB 156, a bill that would roll back vehicle registration fees and collectively save Florida's vehicle owners about $230 million, according to Negron.

The Republican senator introduced a similar bill during the 2013 legislative session, which passed the Senate but died in the Florida House of Representatives after opponents raised objections to its being funded by rescinding a tax break on the insurance industry.
