Gov't Contractor ResCare Settles DOL Anti-Male Bias Claims

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 3:41 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Labor said Thursday it had struck a deal with a unit of federal contractor ResCare Inc. to resolve allegations that the company had violated an executive order by discriminating against dozens of men who sought jobs as in-home caregivers.

Investigators from the DOL's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs found that ResCare HomeCare Spokane's selection process resulted in "systemic hiring discrimination."
