Donziger Demands Chevron Declare Claims Against Him

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 1:39 PM EDT) -- Embattled attorney Steven Donziger on Thursday demanded that Chevron Corp. reveal whether it intends to drop monetary damages claims against him and pursue a bench trial in its New York racketeering suit over a bitterly contested $19 billion pollution judgment.

Donziger, who represented a group of indigenous Ecuadoreans in securing the unprecedented award, claims Chevron is refusing to reveal its intentions as a ploy to further drain his already limited resources by forcing him to prepare for a jury trial that may never materialize.
