DOI May Owe Up To $173M To Rockies Over Pipeline Contract

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 5:08 PM EDT) -- The Department of the Interior may have to pay up to $173 million to Rockies Express Pipeline LLC after the Federal Circuit ruled Friday that an appeals board had mistakenly limited reservation payments for the company's natural gas pipeline, based on the DOI's expressed interest in phasing out royalty-in-kind contracts.
