Consumers Lose Antitrust Suit Over AB InBev, Modelo Merger

Law360, New York (September 16, 2013, 5:56 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday dismissed a group of consumers' antitrust suit against Anheuser-Busch InBev over its $20.1 billion acquisition of Grupo Modelo, saying their argument that AB InBev controlled the company to which it sold Modelo's U.S. assets to assuage government antitrust concerns were "unpersuasive."
