Enviros Say EPA Missed Deadline For Air Emissions Update

Law360, New York (September 17, 2013, 4:54 PM EDT) -- A pair of environmental groups have threatened to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for missing deadlines to update hazardous air emissions requirements for 46 source categories, according to a notice posted on the EPA's website Monday.

The Sierra Club and California Communities Against Toxics claim the EPA is violating the Clean Air Act by holding back new emissions requirements protecting human health and the environment as well as neglecting to review maximum available control technology standards.
