Class Cert. Recommended in Pa. Natural Gas Royalty Case

Law360, Philadelphia (September 17, 2013, 3:50 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Monday broke with an earlier ruling when he found in favor of certifying a class of landowners in an oil and natural gas royalty suit against Energy Corp. of America.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert C. Mitchell, who in August recommended denying the certification, said in an opinion that two out of three subclasses were suitable for certification.
