Law360, New York (September 17, 2013, 3:27 PM EDT) -- Quest Diagnostics Inc. asked a Virginia federal judge Monday to dismiss a whistleblower suit alleging it defrauded the state's Medicaid program by billing it at much higher rates than other customers, saying there's no requirement that laboratories charge the program the lowest rates they give.
The company questions the suit's sufficiency, saying it doesn't show that Quest knowingly submitted false claims and doesn't even mention particular information about the false claims that Quest allegedly submitted.
