Watchdog Wants T-Mobile To Change Network Speed Claims

Law360, New York (September 17, 2013, 4:00 PM EDT) -- An advertising industry self-regulator recommended Tuesday that T-Mobile USA Inc. discontinue claims that its wireless network has more bandwidth and is less congested than AT&T Inc.’s network, saying studies prove that is not entirely true.

AT&T contended that T-Mobile’s recent advertising campaigns are specifically targeted at AT&T and mislead consumers about several comparative attributes of AT&T and T-Mobile’s 4G networks including their speed and consistency, coverage area and call quality.
