Sega Drops $141M On Bankrupt Game Developer Index Corp.

Law360, New York (September 18, 2013, 12:29 PM EDT) -- Sega Sammy Holdings has purchased bankrupt mobile content producer Index Corp. for 14 billion yen ($141 million) at auction, Sega said Tuesday.

The purchase allows Sega, a major Japanese game developer, to reap the popularity of role playing games like the “Megami Tensei,” “Persona” and “Etrian Odyssey” series, among others, according to a company news release.
