New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act Signed Into Law

Law360, New York (September 18, 2013, 6:23 PM EDT) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Wednesday signed into law the bipartisan Economic Opportunity Act of 2013, a streamlined program of tax incentives meant to bolster job growth and economic recovery in the state.

The measure merges five state tax incentive programs into two programs: GrowNJ, which will be the state’s main job creation incentive program, and  the Economic Redevelopment and Growth Program, or ERG, which will focus on economic development incentives.
